Dream Postseason Round 2 Results

With the end of the World Series and the beginning of Hot Stove., we decided to expedite our Dream postseason. Tomorrow we will briefly recap the entire Championship Series game. While on Wednesday our World Series will begin with total coverage much like our coverage of 2011 vs 1980 games 1 and 2. We hope you enjoy this fantasy postseason

2011 vs. 1980 Series
Game 1 & 2 see last article

Game 3- Ibanez 2 run shot and Victorino 2 run Double result in 6-5 victory for the 2011 Squad. They lead the series 2 games to 1.

Game 4- Roy Oswalt's pitching and Raul Ibanez's offense power the 2011 squad to a 5-2 victory, giving them the chance to clinch at home with Roy Halladay on the mound.

Game 5-  Utley's walk-off double in the 10th sends the 1980 squad home earlier than expected as 2011 advances to the semi-finals.

1978 vs 2007 series
Game 1- Aaron Rowand comes up Clutch as Carlton and 1978's pen cannot hold down 2007, as 2007 wins 12-2. 2007 leads the series 1-0.

Game 2- Larry Christinson cannot hold the 2007 team down as they win 10-4 behind Greg Dobbs and Patt Burrell who both drive in 3 runs. 2007 leads the series 2-0.

Game 3- Two run home run by Pat Burrell in the 9th lifts the 2007 Phillies to a 5-3 victory and a 3-0 series lead.

Game 4- The 1978 squad takes advantage of Jamie Moyer's bad outing to win 7-3 and avoid a sweep.. The 2007 Phils still lead the series 3-1.

Game 5- Same old story again as the 2007 squad lights up the 1978 team to win 12-5 and take the series in five.

2008 vs 2010 series
Game 1- Hamels' bad start plus Jason Werth's 5 rbi's equals a 11-1 victory for the 2010 squad, as they lead the series 1-0.

Game 2- 2010's offense destroys Jamie Moyer and the 2008 'pen, winning 15-5. 2010 leads the series 2-0

Game 3- J-Roll and the 2010 offense steam roll over Brett Myers and the 2008 pen for a 11-4 lead. The 2010 team leads the series surprisingly 3-0.

Game 4- Jamie Moyer cannot hold down the 2008 offense as they win 13-4 behind Jason Werth's 4 RBI's. The 2010 squad leads the series 3-1.

Game 5- 2008 out slugs the 2010 squad for a 10-6 victory behind a total team effort. The 2010 suad leads the series 3-2.

Game 6-  2008 squad walks off with a victory in the 9th on a bases loaded walk to Chase Utley given up by Brad Lidge. We will see a game 7!

Game 7- The 2010 squad blows a 3-0 lead and is sent home packing by losing in game 7 to 2008 7-5.

1993 vs 1950
Game 1- Schilling shows his postseason dominance as the 1993 team wins 3-1 and takes a 1-0 series lead.

Game 2- Down but not out, as rookie Kevin Stocker hits a walk-off single! Never count the 1993 team out. They have a 2-0 in the series over the Whiz Kids.

Game 3- Tommy Greene can't find his groove, giving up 6 runs in a 7-3 loss to the Whiz Kids. The 1993 team lead the series 2-1.

Game 4- 10th inning excitement leads to 1993 victory by the score of 8-7. They look to wrap the series up  on the road at Shibe tomorrow.

Game 5- Eddie Waitkus's Walk-Off double lifts Whiz Kids in the 12th, as they win 7-6. The 1993 team still leads the series 3-2 as we head back to the Vet.

Game 6- Great team effort by the '93 team leads to a 7-3 victory. As they win the series in six.

This is the conclusion of round 2 of our dream postseason and theres no reason why the next round won't be as exciting. The 2011 Phillies will be facing the 2007 Phillies. While the 2008 Phillies face off with the 1993 Phillies.
